2018 Workplace Learning Trends

We recently came across an interesting article on LinkedIn about On-the-Job learning, namely the “2018 Workplace Learning Trends” report. Some interesting figures from the report:

• 68% of employees prefer to learn at the workplace
• 58% of employees prefer to learn at their own pace
• 49% of employees prefer to learn in at the right place and at the right time

The report shows that GPAL meets a modern need! GPAL facilitates learning in the workplace. Exactly at the right time, and the right place when employees need the relevant information, no more and no less. With the GPAL app, employees can learn by watching video instructions from colleagues or experts. Using QR codes, the video instructions can be made available when learning is needed.

Employees can also contribute by creating instructions themselves, asking questions, posting comments, and rating videos. In doing so, GPAL increases the use of social skills. Training social skills is the number one priority, according to the report.
